BlackBerry Ltd has witnessed a huge growth in three months after announcing that it’s joining forces with Delphi Automotive Plc to provide the operating system for the low-cost self-driving car technology the auto-parts supplier will begin offering in 2019. BlackBerry’s QNX unit, that provides infotainment software to major automakers including Ford Motor Co, announced in September, 2017 that it will collaborate with Delphi on a system that improves software performance and enhances safety in autonomous cars. Also, BlackBerry last month introduced new cybersecurity consulting services aimed at enabling enterprise to mitigate security risks in connected automobiles that threaten personal and public safety.

Both Blackberry and Tata Elxsi are leveraging innovation in secure embedded designs to enhance safety in autonomous cars while improving software performance.
